Might I suggest that we meet at the second parking
lot? When one arrives at the park, there is a
guardshack where you pay for parking on the honor
system. There is a parking lot there, but if you drive
a bit further through the park there is a second lot
close to the lagoon and there are some picnic tables,
at least one is covered.
I scoped out the park by attending a bike race there
but haven't planted yet. There are many oak trees,
lots of open space and a creek ravine.
You can get an idea of what the landscape is like by
looking at these pictures from the cx race:
